Absolutely agree with your pick. I like that your 5 to try includes non Cubans. Something I try to do myslef when introducing new people to cigars. Good size choice as well. I’d potentially throw in a Monte 5 rather than the 4 but that’s about it.

I only went for cigars I had smoked and I'm not a big Monte fan. But I'll look at tying one to broaden my horizons! Thanks for watching my vid.

Good video, thank you for sharing.

It's difficult to make such a video because there is such a wide range of tastes and size preferences, so I commend you for taking the time and effort to make such an informative video.

I think if I was going to recommend five cigars to a beginner I would probably want to narrow down the origin, so if I was recommending "Cuban" cigars, without knowing anything about the pupil's tastes or size bias, I would probably recommend a range of cigars from mild to a little bit more fuller flavored, and a range of sizes, from PC to Churchill, so perhaps: (1) Monte #4, (2) HU E2, (3) Punch Punch, (4) either PLMC or Partagas 8-9-8 Varnished,  and (5) RyJ Churchill. IMPO this represents a broad selection of profiles and sizes. But I may be somewhat biased, so this is not a finite list, just what I would likely rip out from the top of my head.

I'm not that familiar with the Non-Cuban cigars in comparison to the Cuban ones, but I like your Habanos choices. Also, kudos to you for pronouncing "Choix" correctly!

For CC, one of my top recommendations would be the Upmann Half Corona.  That was my first Cuban and it was a memorable experience.

For NC, 5Vegas Classic can be a very good value--along with Punch Punch London Club.  Not necessarily as special as some of the better Cubans, but still very good.

Have been unable to load the video since it posted due to bandwith.  Can you post up a list?
And I'll just pronounce "Choix"  as best I can when I read it, JohnS

AF short story
ERDM Choix Supreme
Joya Red Robusto
