Now currently I'm waiting on some boxes of Molinos, and some Party Privada, and getting them to the doorstep is like trying to tie your shoelaces whilst on acid.

I often find French, Spanish, English and Italian post services to be a bit like the Squirrels in the (awful) remake of Charlie and the Chocolate factory. i.e people shaking boxes to see if they sound right, before placing them into some sort of arcane donkey cart, with square wheels.

My question is this, Whats your hardest ever to come by box? and why?

Getting the original La Escepcion Selectos Finos was relatively straightforward, but required a lot of steps and patience. But most of the hard work was done by a great BOTL here. He knows who he is.  ;)  The most roundabout box for me was a box of 2005 Trinidad Robusto Extra.  I ordered it online from a European vendor.  They shipped me a box of 2007 Trinidad Ingenios by mistake.  I let them know about the screwup and they then sent the Robusto Extras and offered me a huge discount to keep the Ingenios.  I cracked them open, they're are beyond oily even to this day, so I said yes.  The same shop also sent me someone elses Monte 4's when I had ordered Monte Grand Edmundos.  Sent the M4's back, they credited my shipping cost on my MGE order.

Hardest to come by for me would be Diplo 4's.  Been looking for a few years now and have had no luck.

Another that I did get my hands on was a box of Juan Lopez PC, they made it to the closest sorting facility to my house and never showed up. Vendor emailed me a week later that they were sent back, had them resend and the address was one number off so the post office too a while to find the package.

Yep, had that happen, SOOOOOoooooo annoying when you can literally see the package behind the re-enforced glass, and they're like Nuh-Ehhhh!!

I landed my Holy Grail earlier this year.  Bolivar Coronas Extra 50 Cab via auction.  It took a good bit of searching and patience, well that and a fair bit of coin.

Well I didn't get the box, but while I was in Havana in April, I was able to find ONE box of Diplo Excelencias (RE Cuba) and I almost lost my mind when I saw them as I'd been searching for almost two weeks at that point. It was at the Meliá Cohiba Hotel's LCDH, the hotel is very nice but way too expensive to stay.

They had a box sitting there in a case in the walk in humi and I let the lady know that I want that box. She says I can only buy it with the purchase of a $300 humidor! The humi sucked, but it would have still been worth it to score these rare beauties at $86-$90 for the cigars. I did not pick up the sticks and/or humi and could not talk her into just charging me a premium for the sticks. I was heartbroken. I did find some SLR RE Cuba so the trip did produce a few rarities for the collection.

Pure luck I got Diplomaticos Excelencias the week they came out.  It's such a ridiculous story it bears repeating.  I was fairly new in the game and I dragged my wife to Havana and I wanted to see Club Habana because I'd read about it and I knew they had an LCDH, and by pure luck they were literally setting up for the soft release party and they stocked the LCDH at my hotel the next day.  I didn't understand the scarcity enough to realize I should've stocked up (it's for the best, I don't wanna be that which I hate), but I haven't been able to bring myself to try one yet just bc the mystique might wear off.

Smoke 'em while you got 'em is my motto. Sure, I try to lay a few down, but we could all be gone tomorrow and I would just rot knowing I didn't smoke my best before I was gone. Everybody dies, but not everybody lives - light one up tonight!

At this point your guess is as good as mine.  There was German collector who had a number of these on the auction site.  The last of his collection sold a few months ago for about $250 more than I paid for my cab.
