Goose Posted September 5, 2017 Posted September 5, 2017 For the brothers and sisters in the UK. I am travelling to a small town in the UK for a work assignment for 3 weeks and planning to pack a small stash for my free evenings there. Having never been to the UK before I've only ever heard of strict smoking bans there. Weather seems good enough to sit outdoors but not sure if one can smoke in parks. Is that ok or is it frowned on ? Might make time to go to one of the fancy terraces in London but for the most part I'll be at the work location
Akela3rd Posted September 5, 2017 Posted September 5, 2017 You can smoke pretty much anywhere outside. Parks etc are fine as they're open public places. Be warned though, since the weekend the weather's been on a turn for the worse. It's not cold but it's definitely wetter. What you will find is that people will ask you what you're smoking or comment on the size of the cigar if it's bigger than a PC. Generally though the Great British public are a tolerant lot. Booyaa Posted September 5, 2017 Posted September 5, 2017 As above. Let us know where you are heading and someone should be able to recommend somewhere decent enough.Deco true that you will get curious locals if smoking anything of a decent size.
Goose Posted September 6, 2017 Author Posted September 6, 2017 Thanks. I'll be staying in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. A British friend of mine just dropped off a 3 pack of Hoyo Petit Robustos for me to smoke if the weather gets too cold for anything bigger
