Double corona Quest "complete"....

Recommended Posts

....for now.  Started this journey with SLR.  Have about 8-10 left I think.  This year I've picked up a 10 box of lusi's and the hoyo and VR both from 24:24 deals.

today was luck day. Got the 2012 punch DCs from the lot sale.

sure, thesecwill be smoked, but isn't that the true "completion"completion of the quest?  Acquiring gives the rush but the smoking will be the glory. I'm so excited to have them all at one time in the humi and let them battle it out for top flavor on the taste buds over the next few weeks.

Yeah, congratulations to you. Actually, I bid for those too, they were a good pickup and I have no qualms about losing out. Incidentally, what about the Ramon Allones Gigantes?

Ya know, I've had really bad luck with RA. Terrible sample size form a statistical perspective, but 5/5 RASS I've had were awful. Had a 5er in a split of a box of Asian regionals and the construction was atrocious.

I may try again one day, but they aren't on my list to acquire for D.C.

side note, if you want to split the box PM me.  I'm more than game to do so given my current humidor capacity limitations ?

I'd give the RAG a whirl. I also have had hit or miss experiences with RA, but these are a cut above in my opinion. Likely my favorite DC, though I've never had a Punch or DA so slightly limited comparison.

I might have to.  SLR D.C. is the best cigar I've ever had hands down, but the rest of the SLR line is just good to me.  Might be the same phenomenon with RA. Double corona being the cream of crop of the marca according to my taste buds.

You're not bothering with the El Morro either I take it?

I would love to have some, but I've not seen any avail recently.  If you know of a trusted source, please PM me ??

Sometimes I receive these in a lot when I trade with fellow cc cigar collectors at our level. I do not have the attention span for them.

Enjoy!

CB

I enjoy them more with a group. Double corona night with the guys around a fire with some good drinks is the best way to go.

I believe that I am beginning the same trek that you have "completed". I do concur that the DC Vitola is very ideal, especially when I can make the time for it.

I'll second John with congratulating you on your acquisitions and may your journey  to glory be everything one could expect it to be!

P.S. If John does not take you up on your offer, and it's something you would still like to pursue, I'd be happy to venture forth with you on that endeavor as I am not too far West of you.

Split already lined up.  If we ever see the el morro on the 24/24, let's coordinate our fire and go for those!
