I know guys like to share vacation stashes and travel boxes. This is my "three day" stash for Sosua, DR this weekend.

2 Cohiba lanceros, 1 Punch DC, 1 Cohiba CE, 1 Sig VI, 1 HU Con A, 1 Cohiba Maduro, 1 Des Dieux, 1 Cohiba Rubusto, and 1 HU Noellas. I likely will be smoking a few Dominicans as well along the way. When in Rome.

More important perhaps, this is a Plano box I got at West Marine a few years back. It is exactly long enough for a Cohiba Lancero or a DC. I generally wedge a scientifically rolled up paper towel in there to avoid movement. It works very well for me.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable long weekend.

Enjoy your trip. I wish I was in Cap Cana right now the White Marlin bite is off the charts.

Hmmmm...that case seems fantastic. Great secondary use. no plastic smell right?

No smell at all, and I am super OCD about smell!

Doesn't the papertowel you put in absorb humidity?I would use thin foam or those cedarsleeves from cigars.

I actually keep the paper towel in the box with the Boveda pack, in such a small air tight case container I assume the paper towel just maintains the same RH as the pack. I prefer the paper towel as I can kind of form it to the shape I want.

Great looking stash.

Which Dominican cigars to you plan on trying?

I actually don't do a ton of cigar hunting in DR. I more enjoy hiking around the actual fields. But I am super lucky in that my fiancee's family is from Santiago, arguably the center of the Dominican cigar world. Her dad grew up in Villa Gonzalez, which is full of tobacco fields. I am gifted more cigars than I know what to do with. I get everything from simple bandless no-names to the latest and greatest limited edition Fuente/Opus X and Davidoffs. Dominicans, in my experience, are extremely generous people. It probably doesn't hurt that I usually have alot of extra Cuban cigars to give out as well. Though on this trip it's mostly just me and the lady.

I find purchasing cigars in DR extremely limited, unless you're in Santo Domingo (the capital) where there are a few decent stores. I find the stores full of mostly La Aurora and to a lesser extent Davidoff products.
