I figured that this would't be a great first review cigar.

The best way i can start this of is by simply saying, I'm in love..

the construction was perfect (before the fact that my clumsy hands decided to drop it and make a tiny dent on the foot.) 

but putting that aside it was fantastic. size description I'm taking from Half wheel:

5 1/2 - inches with a 52 ring gauge

No soft spots. were found at all, it felt even all the way through. a beautiful relish brown with some small veins 

So the best way i can describe this is.. A perfect balance between Upmann and Monte #4 with age on it. the first third  was fantastic, light white chocolate with cashews and molasses  but not an over powering. the retrohale had high citrus and earthy notes. 2/3 the cashews disappeared and leather moved in along with that light chocolate hanging around with a medium earth taste. this is the part that reminded me of an aged Monte at this point. but the last third was just mind blowing everything comes in and balances out, the leather and nutty taste of cashews with that earthy notes... that citrus flavor is still hanging around in the retrohale with now wooden notes that were faint on the 2/3.

honestly i expected it to be young, but i found it to be just perfect. Don't get me wrong, i think age will do wonders on this. all in all I'm in absolute love with these, 

So now ill ask if anyone is willing to part with a box or knows where i can get one let me know

I'm afraid I can't.

My brother who lives in Mexico got them for me, since no seller will ship out of the country.

Also in every LCDH in Mexico is asking almost double of what the price should be.

Just had a friend who was down there and the LCDH in Cozumel is out but if they come back they quoted $367 box! Quite a jump from original $263.

... yes really. It all goes to prove that my interest in a cigar declines exponentially with the number of names that it has, multiplied by its ring gauge added to its band count.

To make myself clear, I read very little 'speculative garbage' about ELs and REs. I know that I am just going to make a negative comment anyway. I call it 'self control.'

If someone actually reviews one, I am up late and cannot sleep, crave some material for my entertainment, I just might read it if it is on the front page of FoH.... People who review perform a service, and I think that they should be thanked for sharing their thoughts.

Shlomy, I figure if I were to witness someone smoking about 75% of the EL/RE market cigars, I would figure it was some Mexican fraud... that the Cubans would never make such a silly cigar. The only ones I know about are the ones people send me... and I typically never know what they are called.

I was in LCDH Cozumel in January , id forgot my phone to verify a transaction , ended up paying in sterling £300 !!! 

Seeing as i got married in Mexico years earlier and really wanted them , i took the hit , its one a year on my anniversary so we,l see were we go 

Roll  on Jan 2018 when im back there and enjoy the first one .

How good are these Jason? I've got 4 boxes and 2 on reserve. 

I really really like the Diplo Embajadores regional, but this Dante takes the cake for me. Head and shoulders, it's the best regional I've had. Take that with a grain of salt... Many here have lapped me in that arena. Point is, if you can... Load up on these. Delicious cigar that has its own lane.
