I've been up on the FOH forum for about a month now. I've asked for plenty of advice on the practicalities of storage and rh and which CC makes to dig into. The FOH members have been consistantly generous with their hard won experience. I've read a lot more on the forum besides about what to look for in a cigar.

I had my first opportunity tonight since joining to just sit back for an hour with a 7yo rum and one of the Siglo iii's I've been resting that a mate brought back from an overseas jaunt.

The smoke was a joy. I took the time to think about the flavours from grass to leather and spices and a few others I can't put my finger on yet.

There is plenty to learn and plenty more to try.  I'll start looking at fine tuning the process with dry boxing and aging etc. But I really just wanted to say thanks to the administrators and the members here.

I know it's just a cigar but what a thing it is!

Although not new to cigars in general, I too am fairly new to FOH. What a great and friendly site and a wealth of excellent information. Thank you to all as well! ?

Just curious, which rum did you go with?

I'm new to foh myself and practically drooling waiting for my first shipment to arrive. I am really enjoying reading all of the posts in anticipation of my first cc experience.

It's great when they arrive but the real trick for me is holding back to let them rest.
