Jimmy_jack Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 I've only had a few cigars that have the salty goodness when you first start smoking. I've not had enough to say which marca has it most often. Does anyone find one marca has it more often than the other? Is it an attribute that comes with age...or is it the glue? so many question...lol

Akela3rd Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Sancho Panza PCs. I had a BMU JUN 13 box that I hammered my way through last year. At the time I didn't think I enjoyed them as much as other PCs, but that salty difference about them kept pulling me back. Might have to get another box...Recently, hints of salt in the Rafael Gonzales PCs, which works nicely with the dark chocolate elements. Seems to be a quirk of the smaller marcas, maybe the world market blends avoid whatever it is that adds that something something?Thunder & Lightening '75-'15 2
zeedubbya Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Sancho Panza for sure is salty. I get saltiness in RYJ Belis sometimes. I've wondered if they mixed them up with the SP Belis sometime. I have a few left of the same exact code @Akela3rd is talking about and they're great cigars. Big big wow factor in such a small package.
fabes Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Sancho panza non plus is what you want. Had one today, a little creamy with salt and dare I say... driftwood! But that could have been because I was sitting at the edge of the bay while smoking it. They go well with a crispy lighter beer like a pilsner or your favorite gin. 3

The first time I really got that salt hit was with a Juan Lopez S1. Never had it again with those that I recall. On the suggestions here...seemingly unanimous...I will be getting some Sancho Panza for sure.
