Partagas 898

Thanks everyone for explaining and I'm now more intrigued.  I'll take the leap and grab a box when they become more available.  I don't want to be the guy who buys a box of these over someone who already knows and loves them.

On a price per gram basis, the 898 sells at a bit of a premium.  Not as much as I thought when I did the math, but about 22% higher than Shorts and 29% higher than D4s.  I was just considering if that premium was worth it compared to other Partagas offerings in different sizes.

Again, on a price per gram basis it is a lot closer than I had thought to the slightly smaller Monte 1.

Ahh okay, got ya. In my opinion yes it does. All day long. But that is just me and my palate and taste.

Guess it's time to graduate from lurker status...

Snagged these from our host not too long ago.  They showed in stock in the store, and combined with the coupon put up in a 24:24 back in January, I couldn't resist.  I'm letting them sit for a couple more weeks then will light one up as a starting reference and see how they age over the years.  The aroma right now is intoxicating

I picked up a box of these myself last month. They do look delicious! I'm was going to bury them in the humi for a couple years, then try one. But if the weather is nice this weekend, I think I'm going to have to dive into them. I like the idea of trying them here and there while they age and seeing how they develop over time. I'm sure they will be quite strong young though!!
