Hello all,

I am picking 3-4 boxes while on vacation and am wondering what's the best way to transport them during the rest of my trip. Traveling 12 days after picking them up and I'm not fully comfortable just leaving them out in a room with the a/c on a lot.

Thanks

I actually like to plastic cling wrap vs ziplock but that is just me. If you are going ziplock take them in your luggage and test fit at home before you go...it is impressive how big a bag you need for a churchill box.

You'd be surprised how resilient cigars are. I've traveled for two weeks with multiple boxes in just Ziploc bags and they were just fine. Think about the fact that we all get cigars from Rob that can take 2+ weeks to arrive and mine have always arrived a bit more moist for my taste.

I, for one, believe that we give cigars too little credit for being able to regulate their own microclimate. As long as you're not traveling through somewhere where it's consistently 90F+ with very low ambient humidity, you'll be fine with just Ziploc bags, in my humble opinion.

This is a very good suggestion. A roll of clingfilm would take up a bit more space than a bunch of ziploc bags, but you don't have to worry about the corner of the boxes tearing the bags.

As cigars that travel can be the subject of temperature swings, I would not include water supplies with them. I would check them often just to see that condensation is not accompanying them, and second the notion shipping does no harm to them in general.

Sealed up in ziplock or tupperware or whatever. No humidification (no water, no boveda). If they are sealed they should maintain the same moisture content as they have now. If they are sealed with bovedas these will maintain the ambient humidity, but if the temperature rises then the boveda will pump water into the cigars. This happened to me once on a trip to India. The temp was up to 40C and the cigars became unsmokable. Next time I dropped the bovedas and they were fine.
