Popular Post Corylax18 Posted January 23, 2017 Popular Post Posted January 23, 2017 Its only been about 4 years since I discovered this cigar, but it will be tough to see it go. I travel quite a bit for work, both in Colorado, and around the US. When I know that I will have plenty of windshield time I like to pack a selection of PCs to smoke as I drive, this particular cigar has found its way into that rotation over the last few years. I smoked this example driving through Monarch Pass in the Sawatch Mountains. It came from a 5 pack I picked up a couple years ago, so probably a 12 or 13 example. I lit this beauty up straddling the Continental Divide at 11,312 Ft (3,448m) elevation. Cigar opened smooth creamy and a bit sweet, perfect easy draw. Cigar stayed smooth, and sweet throughout, a nice raw bread dough flavor came and went. Draw and burn were great through out, which is great when you are smoking while driving! 5
PigFish Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 ... I hope you drive a turbocharged car...! Does the altitude affect your smoking experience? This has turned into the Upmann PC lost cigar review weekend, I think. Nice picks, and review and great backstory. Me, I hate driving, but love to smoke when I drive as well. Thanks for sharing! -the Pig 1

Thanks for sharing! -the Pig I drive rentals! The only thing I have noticed regarding the altitude is that the nicotine can hit you much quicker and stronger. I dont know the exact science behind it but the lower blood oxygen levels at altitude lead to quicker stronger affect from alcohol, Nicotine, THC, whatever. Same principal behind people getting violently drunk from two drinks on an airplane. Cancelling the HUPC has got to be the worst of the this years cuts IMO. Nobody can convince me its a sales volume issue, HSA wants the tobacco for higher margin cigars in the brand(or other brands), plain and simple. I think the Du Prince is in a similar situation. Really unfortunate. If the roads were empty I would drive all day every day! Its the other people on the road that bug me, Haha. Cigars help me relax and enjoy the scenery a bit. 1
