Every time I rearrange the boxes I'll peek inside most, if anything just to remind myself what singles I may have snuck in some of the boxes to consolidate. Coolidor is in the basement with year round temp 65-68F with RH 68-69. Haven't seen mold in my 5 years of owning the thing.

Every tube the minute it arrives, then never again!

Of course one should understand that i build humidors as a sideline. I data log something, usually my test humidor at least 300 days a year and my shop conditions about the same. I am always testing something and therefore I data log.

I don't really care how my humidors are 'doing' anymore. I trust them. I do care about 'how they are doing it,' always. A working humidor is a proven humidor (IMHO). I am always looking for a glitch, or hole, or why it just rant to this or that... Most of the time they can run out of water for a week or more and I won't notice, they slowly climb back based on the conditions so unless I note one running for a long period, I don't even take notice.

The thing I mostly watch for is if a humidifier becomes too full. When it gets humid and they dehumidify like crazy the water goes somewhere and that means that I have to look them over to make sure the humidifier has not picked up to much water from the ambient.

Same here in regards to tubos. This is about the only time I check for mold as my set-up is consistent a 62-65% rh and I never have issues with mold within my humidors.
