New question about RA LE 2015 this morning

Recommended Posts

finally decide to smoke my Ramon Allones Club 2015 limited edition this morning.

But i get a question here. after smoking 2/3, i find this hard pole( which i point in the photo) connect with the tobacco leafs. First glance, i though there were some impurities inside of the tobacco leafs. But the pole was actually connected with the leafs.

And i can feel it while smoking 2/3 of the cigar, what is that? is that bad for cigar quality or it gonna affect your smoking at all ?

I'm a big fan of the RA CA 2015 LE and have smoked many if then and not had that issue. Just chalk it up to bad luck and hopefully your next one is better. It can happen with any cigar but should be a rare occurrence.

I think and I know others have said this will be a cigar that should be good with age. I am still enjoying RA Gorditos 2010 LE's and they are great. I have enough boxes of the 2015 that I expect to be enjoying them for many years. I see a lot of potential upside with these.

@LLC  RA Specially selected(25s) is quite good, another worthy opinion just like D4.

but honestly, RA ain't mainstream in the Asian market .

Yes especially in China market. Only D4 , Coro, Short Churchill, but never RASS. But RASS is actually the 2nd or 3rd amongst cuban Robustos.

This was El Presidente's take on it:

SOM DIC 15*

Will go down as one of the best cigars of the year. I didn’t call it early, you did.

If you haven’t got a couple of tenners of these at home, you probably should have.  I always liked the Ramon Allones Extra which divided FOH into two groups.  The Ramon Allones Club Allones has had pretty much universal acclaim. It is a way better cigar than the Ramon Allones Extra was then or is now.

It is Ramon Allones to its core. It is full. It is fruity. It will age a dream.

For lovers of fuller bodied cigars….pretty much the perfect cigar.

Big …Big Flavours. If you haven’t jumped on these over the past few months, I certainly can’t recommend them more highly.

Sweet, stewed fruits, big flavours. Too young, too good not to try them after giving them a chance to acclimatise to your humidor.  Tastes a hell of a lot like Christmas cake. Great size. Great smoke and has legs for the medium term at least.

@Robusto 107 totally agree m8  . Mainstream in chinese market are pretty much Monte No 2, 4 ,Edmundo, and Open master ;Cohiba Siglo IV, V and BHK; HOYO DC,#1,2; Partagas D4, D6,E2 Salomones; Romeo y Julieta No 1,2 and any churchill(petit, wide etc);

I do like RASS but from cabinets if 50. I prefer the RASS to the D4 but of the ones you mentioned I enjoy the CORO's the most, especially with some age.
