jwr0201 Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Looks like Fuzz is in Tampa this weekend and I'd like to find a good Cigar shop for a meeting place. Am in need of recommendations for a nice place that is open Sundays. Also like to see if any Tampa FOH members would care to join.
Habana Mike Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Davidoff shop hands down! Central Cigar/Ruby's Elixir in downtown St Pete best alternative.....
BuzzArd Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 Duh... The heart of the cigar industry in the USA... Ybor City. Still some good shops and great history there. Visit!

Visit! if by "heart of the cigar industry" you mean historical cigar making in the usa, sure. miami is home to most premium NC labels and fabricas today. to the OP - if sunday is a requirement, the (corona cigar orlando) davidoff of geneva is open most of the day. it is what you would expect of the davidoff brand - classy surroundings, huge selection of cigars, and top shelf lounge. next to TPA airport. for a more relaxed feel, tampa humidor & cigar castle are two shops near busch gardens (theme park). 15-20 min north of downtown, i think tampa humidor closes earlier than the castle. equally strong selection of cigars, full bars, and comfortable surroundings. and if you're in ybor city, don't miss eating at columbia restaurant. 1
treberty Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 The Fuente Factory Building in Ybor City is definitely worth a visit... not only is it a beautiful building, but you can also purchase directly most Fuente cigars. Ybor City is a great spot in general for cigar aficionados. 1
jwr0201 Posted November 2, 2016 Author Posted November 2, 2016 I live an hour from Ybor City and go there often. My favorite there is Tampa Sweethearts, hands down. Davidoff, Central and Rubys sound interesting. Nice places with good, comfy chairs?
warren516 Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Tampa Sweethearts with a chance to meet Arturo Fuente Jr. who loves to talk about cigars.

Habana Mike Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 I'd mention from my perpective Edward's on Kennedy is the "best" cigar shop in Tampa in terms of price and selection. Not really the ideal lounge to hang out in though.....
jwr0201 Posted November 8, 2016 Author Posted November 8, 2016 Habana... Good call on Davidoff Cigar Lounge. Trent & I met Fuzz there and had a great experience. IMHO, the best of the Coronas Cigar Shops by far. Humidification of their sticks was spot on and a good selection with acceptable prices. Lots of comfortable chairs and tables. The staff is very attentive without being bothersom. I'll definitely return to stock up on my NC favorites.
Fuzz AI Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Absolutely agree. It is a fantastic place. Ruby's Elixir/Central Cigars is also nice, though not the best place for a quiet smoke and chat. Went there on the Saturday night and it was busy. I was told that the area is the more "lively" part of downtown St Pete.
Coloniales Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Also, a visit to Cigar City Brewery is well worth while. Keith.
