Popular Post Sean3 Posted September 17, 2016 Popular Post Posted September 17, 2016 Cigar: Juan Lopez Seleccion No. 2 Box Code: UME NOV14 Construction of this cigar was good, while the wrapper had some veins and an orange-ish hue. This cigar started out rather spicy and somewhat ordinary with some fleeting hints of fruit and chocolate. As I got into the second third, the spice calmed down and the flavors picked up. A little bit of cocoa made itself present along with some earthiness. By the time I got into the final third of this cigar, I was going wow! Most notably, butter, came to the forefront of the taste spectrum. It was really quite remarkable, butter and earth were now the core flavors with some hints of cocoa/chocolate on the back end. It started to heat up a little bit before getting into nub territory and when this happens...I'm done. Overall, this was an excellent smoke, the butter in the final third had me hooked. I would rate this an honest 91 and would expect it to have some legs. Hope you enjoy this review, my first on FoH! Cheers. 7
Akela3rd Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 I've a box of these on the way so I'm going to be particularly interested in all the S2 reviews this week. Good little review, succinct.
Smoking Ninja Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 I also have a box on its way here. Very nice review! I am looking forward to light one up in a few months!! 1

achiappetti Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 I am smoking one right now ROTT. what I notice is it doesn't seem to have the CC twang that I seem to have gotten from other smokes. It is a good twang. It is definitely more spicy than any CC I have had of late. I cant wait to see the changes with some acclimation. I know guys, I need to let them rest, but I am pretty new to purchasing CC's and now I have over around 50 in desktop and with next order I will start getting the cooler ready. I never thought I would be able to do it, but it is happening. Nice review Sean. Take care everyone. 1
Danimalia Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Achiappetti, I always smoke one fresh off the truck as well, usually the ugliest stock in the lot. I just try not to put too much stock in any negative impressions I get, as I don't feel it's fair to the cigar. But I frequently have some really nice smokes ROTT. 1
Hurltim Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 I've noticed that you can shorten your down time after travel with thinner cigars. You can get some stinkers in the bunch too. I had an AWFUL JL#2: Totally flat tasting and left a metallic taste in my mouth. My fillings felt weird. I just recieved another sample of one to give it another try. Too many people like it not to give it another shot. As Danimalia said, keep in mind you aren't trying it at its best. I Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk 1
achiappetti Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 I did enjoy it and usually enjoy the sticks ROTT. What I notice with the month down time is that the flavors seem to stick around and are more vivid to the palate. ROTT stocks seem to fade in and out as far as flavor goes. I have to smoke right off the truck because I have 4 boxes that have all been ordered in last two months. Had a box of Boli RC (split, kept 15) and now have two left... After the acclimation those babies are great! I can't stop smoking them.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
