Luddite Needs Help

Recommended Posts

Ok, I admit it...I'm a luddite.  So, here is my question:  When someone posts a reply to a topic, how do you reply to that specific comment?  When I try to do this, I'm using the "reply to topic" box at the bottom of the page and it gets posted as a general reply, as opposed to being posted to a specific comment.  This is making it difficult to respond to other members.  Cheers.

Click on the "+" symbol to left of the word "Quote" below the specific comment to which you want to respond.  That will prompt a pop-up in the lower right of your screen that reads "Quote 1 post".  Click that pop-up and it will place a copy of the comment in the reply box.  From there just type your response and submit.

It is way more fun to keep the membership guessing! Shows who is and who is not paying attention!!! -LOL

Carry on! -Piggy

Oh and a lot of folks are using the @Sean3 (an example) function. Type the @ then wait for the forum software to start to populate the member to mention.

Or just click on the "Quote" button right next to the "+" symbol. The "+" symbol is for quoting more than one post at a time.

That's even better.  Until I read your post I never placed my curser over "Quote" and therefore wasn't aware of the hidden power within.  Thanks!

Thank you Mr. Piggy, appreciate the info.  Btw, the phrase "Carry on" brought me back to my Navy days...and right down memory lane.  Cheers!
