PigFish Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 If it is good enough for Piggy, it should be good enough for you too! I would like to add one caveat. This crosses between several threads that constantly reappear here, not unlike many issues of interest to me. This particular issue is with tubed cigars. I frankly don't trust the semi-sealed environment of the tubed cigar. A case in point is the box that i recently got from Rob. I always inspect tubed cigars! Why, the environment enclosed with the cigar is not trustworthy. This is of course, not the vendors fault. Several of the Bolivar No. 1s I received had some mold on them! Not the end of the world, I use a soft bristle (mold) brush and just dust it off. I then proceed to remove all the caps and all the paper dividers, put the caps in a bag, the bag in the box, the box lid cracked and in the controlled humidor it goes so the cigars can gas-off. The lesson. Don't put your tubed cigars in the locker! Tubed cigars should be opened and checked, tubes opened to acclimatize to your preferred conditions and cigars allowed to properly de-gas (all my opinion). You could get lucky and have no issues. On the other hand, this cool environment could cause water to condense in the tube and cause mold if the cigar was too wet in the first place. In any event, it is not worth the gamble. -Piggy 2
Cep Posted August 6, 2016 Author Posted August 6, 2016 Thx Piggy. I also have some tubos coming and was thinking of that too. Really all i wanted to know about the online humidor is how the boxes are stored. Are they out in the open or in a tightly sealed box? I am not criticizing anything just would like to know.

Rob will eventually chime in and correct me if I'm wrong, but if I recall correctly, they are just cage lockers.
