Hi guys. I used to love hoyo' s Excalibur. It's been a long time since I had one. I was going to but a box a while back and I asked about them. The person told me they changed the mix and they were not as good. Any info

Hello. Welcome to FOH.   I see this is your first post.  Why don't you post an intro?  As for the Excaliburs. I'm sure you're referring to the Non-Cuban Hoyo brand?  There is no Cuban Hoyo Excalibur. It's still a fair enough query, as there are many members here who do smoke NC's and can probably discuss this with you.

depending on how long since you had one,the blend has changed several times.

none of the reblends will stand up to the 90s blend,back then it was a very good cigar.

in 2001- 2002 the blend changed,and was never again as solid or balanced.

since then it has been a struggle to find a Hoyo NC worth smoking.

Well that's a shame!  I have fond memories of them.  One of the first go to cigars I went to when I first started smoking in 95.  

 

Havent had had one probably since 2000 as that's when I began smoking CC's.
