looking forward to this evening. hoping for 2-0. the build-up up here has been a bit more low key. bit worrying. hoping the lads are not just assuming they'll win because it is at suncorp.

i will say that those nasty nsw players and admin have started their underhanded mind games already. they insisted that the staff at suncorp stop showing the video that they had kindly provided for the nsw training session. very poor form. who wouldn't want to see a collection of every try the maroons have scored in the last ten years?

s pot on the sideline, half way if you can get it, at suncorp for a deciding origin game should be on every sports fan's bucketlist, whoever you follow. i remember being just a few yards from where cooper cronk kicked the winning field goal a few years ago. never heard noise like it. all game. never let up. the atmosphere when we won the super xv was something unimaginable but it was low key compared to origin.

I hope you guys win.... We are shit, have Gallen, and don't deserve it.

hard to argue against such eloquently accurate arguments.

believe that thurston has also announced a forthcoming retirement. the wheel is turning. pity it will be too late for the thug gal.

not a fan of the increased gap between games, 3 weeks too long.

Tonight we have a long ash comp at John's. Don't know what "State of Origin" game you guys are talking about. :lookaround:

I'm a NSW fan but I don't fancy their chances tonight unfortunately. Fingers crossed though.

Planning on having a nice cigar which will either make me feel better after the loss or be a celebration cigar if they win. The magic of cigars!

Go Blues!

Well the dust has settled and the result is as it should be, natural order of things.

Despiration translates into missed opportunities and that was the Blues state of mind. Best comment from Woods (NSW) "That was  Shithouse!"

great game. best for a few years. knife-edge.

could so easily have gone wrong. qld should have taken that penalty kick. gone up 14. that would have iced it. we let them back in and they were nearly good enough.

how quick was frizzell chasing gagai? and how does speedster o'neill have maloney run away from him over 90?

i see nsw already favourites for game 3. i think that might be a fair assessment. they will be very hard to beat in sydney in a dead rubber.
