seattledude Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 I have HF 65% beads and they hold it at very well. I use Distilled water and small syringe to add water to them when needed and its not needed much in Coolidor.
PigFish Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Yes was not meant to not discuss with people who have interest or need...simply meant ill buy that yiuve got the subject covered...excellent info on a subject you clearly understand! I did not take your comment negatively... I try not to look at comments negatively, but try to see them for what they really mean. While we do have in our midst a mindset of once understood (by them) the subject is done, my comment was not reflective of them either. I am not pointing fingers at anyone as I see nothing wrong with the mindset, it is a personal preference, just not mine. We are not a closed group, but an open inclusive group. I have always been a mentor. It is just how I am wired. My comment was an expression of who I am, not as a datum to be used against others. As usual the topic migrates and it sometimes moves to helping newer members, I am passionate about that, so I make lessons out of some of the comments. It is not only that I like doing it, but as I see it, it is important for our survival as a group. Like it or not, cigar smokers are marked for extinction, and if not for us taking care of our own in the community, the community will fail. Cheers! -Piggy

Fugu Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Brief addition - apart from the physico-chemical effect on mentioned beads, tap water always contains "nutrients" (such as nitrates, phosphates, trace elements etc.). So if you'd like to avoid microbial growth - never ever use tap water for any humidification system! And why would one want do anyway? Deionized ("distilled") water costs just nothing. That'd be really cutting back at the wrong end. 1

Fuzz AI Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 He once smoked a double corona in 45 minutes. Dude is hard. A mate smoked a Siglo VI in about 20 minutes. The rest of us hadn't even gotten to the end of the first third.
