gojira Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 I just managed to find a box of a certain cigar that I have been hunting for and the box code is BUM NOV 13. I don't believe that I have smoked a cigar with the BUM factory code from 2013 before and would appreciate any input.

I think it was 14 so dont know if BUM code is there.

subport Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 I have cigars with BUM codes, mainly Upmanns... all from ´14. Magnum 50, Conni A and some more can´t recall it now. They are all great and I have seen so many PSP, HQ with that code up here. I am not a code buyer. I don´t care about the codes too much... The cigar needs to be shiny, oily with good aroma at cold. That´s about it. 1

Eric E Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 I have a box of Monte No. 1 and Monte No. 3 from BUM from 2014. I haven't smoked from either box, but I'm hopping they are as Rob stated, and at least good quality. I will probably crack into that box of Monte 3s next month, so we shall see. 1
El Presidente Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Don't get me wrong. There were many outstanding cigars out of BUM. This is the problem when discussing Box codes in isolation ( a single box or small sample of boxes). One comment (pro or against) can be unfair. I would have opened a few thousand BUM coded boxes at least. Good solid code better than average in the main producing some exceptional cigars, plenty of above the average and few poor ones. My favourites from memory were the Punch Punch, Monte 1, Monte 3. 2

I have been on the hunt for a box for weeks now, making dozens of phone calls and sending out as many e-mails. I found some last week, made payment and received an e-mail saying that they were sold out and that the vendor would refund my money. I have been waiting for my refund for 9 days now, contacted the vendor a few times and they said that they refunded someone else by mistake blah blah blah..... I'm having my fingers crossed that the hunt will soon be over.
