Hi All,

I am a brand new cuban cigar appreciator and found FOH during one of my Google searches......

I recently returned from a trip to SE Asia which included a stay in Macau, " the Las Vegas of the East".

I have a Canadian friend who lives and works there and introduced me one evening to the delights of a "high roller" humidor built especially for the "whales" who gamble (game) from all over the world and enjoy a nice smoke while they play in one of the huge ostentatious Casinos that is synonymous with Macau.

Well, a Partagas D4 was presented to me and, on smoking, I was transported to a place that was as surreal and fantastic as the venue in which I found myself.

I was hooked and mesmerised.

On my departure, my friend gifted me a yellow leather Partagas travel case containing 3 cigars (Partages D4's) and a guillotine cutter........

I am now back home and I can tell my journey is just beginning......

I look forward to spending some time in this community to lurk, learn and hopefully contribute in the future.....

Thanks!

Welcome! You have truly come to the right place. :)

D4s are indeed enchanting. One of my first Cuban cigars, and a mainstay in my humidor. You'll find some excellent examples in Rob's 24:24 sales, when they appear.

thanks for the welcome....... I have since tried other robusto cigars (cohiba, hoyo de monterrey) and found the Partagas D4's a bit heavy and peppery....maybe my inexperienced palate......also, just looking into the 24:24 & 24:72 sales..... looking forward to experiencing whats out there,...

you will get a heap of everything on this forum and i'm sure you'll have a great time.

if i recall, when i was on the coast, there were not too many cigar friendly places. assume that has not changed.

Hey Ken, it's only fair that we send up Blues supporters to Qld. After all, you send us cane toads! tongue.png

tragically, we just can't get rid of them all but i would swap a toad for ten blues.

I have just watched, with hilarious effect, some cigar reviews in this forum...... this would not happen to be the very same Ken with which I have been in discourse with throughout this thread?
