kuma Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 I need a little input from fellow FOHers on the subject of a cigar I have never smoked. I'm talking about the "Saint Luis Rey Londales". I've had the Regios and was just wondering how close or far are the Londales in terms of taste from the Regios. What struck me was the size of the Londales. Length and RG of these suit me just fine. Any input would would help greatly, thanks.
maxcjs0101 Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 I've heard lots of good comments in the past about them but havent smoke my SLR Lonsdale Rob gifted me. It looks good though.
Overproof Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Why can't every brand have a Lonsdale. Such a great size cigar. Never had these but if I had access to them I'd be buying them based off the regios.
shlomo Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 They are excellent, similar to the A more than the Regios, and even more so to the defunct churchill. Not like the DC at all either imo. Lots and lots of singles from 99-01 boxes have been bland for me, but not so many plugs. Some I had from 98 were very enjoyable, but not something spectacular imo. 2005 had a few singles from a box and they were stellar. Better than the 98s. Oddly enough, I find many similarities with PL Encantos, minus the Encantos sweetness that may be imagined due to the PL band....
Optic101 Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Mine are from 2003 and a bit mild or past time if you compare the the Regio. Still enjoy them as the flavor profile is there. Agree with Shlomo on the Encantos comment.
Jeremy Festa Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Would be super dooper keen to have an SLR lonsdale. My favourite vitola! And SLR is my favourite marca! Funny Shlomo says it's closest to the defunct Churchill. Was gonna post this in the daily smoke thread, but here seems more suitable right now. SLR Churchill from an '07 cab! Just the nicest time!
