JohnS Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 For all of us diehard Cricket fans on FoH, who for years were perplexed at how Shane Watson reached 50 tests for Australia despite a test average below 35, finally news that he will retire from all internationals after the current T20 World Cup in India. No word yet on whether he will continue to play first-class cricket in Australia, or indeed what state he will turn for if he decides to continue on next season.
westg Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 I really wish I could think or even feel something toward him.....if we never see him again it will be to soon. 1

You fine gentleman won't be tuning in to watch his final match in Australian colours then? I honestly don't blame you!
Goose Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 You fine gentleman won't be tuning in to watch his final match in Australian colours then? I honestly don't blame you! I have a bad feeling he's going to pummel my team today. Oh well.

JohnS Posted March 25, 2016 Author Posted March 25, 2016 Here's an interesting article by Daniel Brettig from Cricinfo entitled "When Watson was great". http://www.espncricinfo.com/australia/content/story/988643.html

Am rooting for Australia to go through today though. Have a feeling India's pace attack would be cannon fodder for your opening 3 after seeing what they did to Paks attack. Unless Kohli has other ideas.

I should just quit my day job and start putting some money on the betting sites. 1
