dageshi Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 I was mooching around on ebay in the UK last week and this came up http://imgur.com/a/hbRfv I love Upmann cigars so I picked it up, I'm hoping someone here has some experience with them, I'm curious if it's possible to date these, there's a date on the label of JULIO16/1912 but I don't know if that's actually a manufacture date or just something that's on all those labels? Also, I kinda want to put some PC's in there, how do you humidify these, pop a boveda inside? Like I say I've got no experience with these jars, new or old.
JoeyW Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 nice!! yep boveda s the best in that type of humidor 1
Corylax18 Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 Cool Jar. I don't have anything to add in terms of the age of the Jar. It is Old though. I would say Bovedas are probably your best bet to keep it moist.

It's definitely an aged container mate, but the Julio 16 1912 means only that it was produced sometime after that date. All Warranty stamps since that date have the date on it. http://cubancigarwebsite.com/info-packaging.aspx#Seals for reference. Beautiful find either way, enjoy!

The age doesn't really matter to me that much but it'd be nice to know.
Puros Y Vino Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 Nice find. Pop in a Boveda and a hygrometer for a week to see if the RH holds. Very possible the seals on the jar are a bit worn. If the levels are solid, you're good to go. 1
