Ken Gargett
first, huge thanks to our good mate, rob - (the other one - freefallguy). very kindly gave me a bottle of this. i had it in the cupboard so pulled it out to have with a partagas D4 a few nights ago. loving it. this bottle is from voyage 3. the idea came from the old days when barrels were on river boats and so a bit of rolling around meant extra oak contact. so these guys send their barrels on a world tour, crossing the equator 4 times. the result is terrific - possibly the merest fraction sweet if being ultra-critical, but i am loving it. even looked on the net to see if it is in Australia. found two bottles at an online retailer but at a price where one could buy the annual pappy van W production. rob, many thanks. and if the other other rob brings a really good cigar to the next video, i might even let him see the bottle. PapaDisco
Good to know. I'd had their President's Select (a collection of other people's forgotten bourbon barrels IIRC) and was so underwhelmed (we actually discarded it after a couple of sips in favor of a regular old Blanton's) that it had kind of put me off Jefferson's altogether. Habana Mike
I've seen it in the locals but yet to pull the trigger. You're paying for the booze and the cruise I guess!
