Corona Gordas are my favorite size and I have quite a few of them. The one cigar that seems to be flying under the radar is the R&J Ex #3. I haven't heard much about this cigar. I have been wanting to pull the trigger on a box of these, but for some reason I have been holding off. I have been dreaming of that nice Rosado wrapper on this cigar like the EX #4's that I have. If the EX #3 had the blend that the wide Churchills have, I would think it would be a popular cigar.

Who's been smoking these and what do you think?

According to the Cuban Cigar website, they are still around. Rob can probably tell you about these, as it's also his favourite size. smile.png

They are still produced but in very limited quantities for some reason. I don't believe they've ever been a big seller. Rob came across some last year and I recall seeing some with 2014 codes last year, but it doesn't appear they're in stock at any vendor I use right now.

Interestingly, the Ex 3 has always gotten a bad rap and in my personal experience, it's deserved. Since the 90s, the Ex 3 was always inferior to the Ex 4. I can personally attest to that. The Ex 3 is a much lighter blend and less complex. Even MRN notes it in his book and I definitely agreed. Later production has always received less-than-favorable reviews, particularly in the RyJ dead period of 2004-2013.
