I’m guessing the new movie will be the same. David88 Posted February 19, 2016 Share Posted February 19, 2016 I love older horror films. But the genre seems to be stuck in the doldrums at the moment. Horror films either seem to be a slasher/gore fest (such as saw and hostel) or a poor rehash of an older film. Maybe im getting older and have seen so many of these films that they are no longer surprising? But I think standards have generally dropped. Im sure I will go and see this new Amityville, i will just have low expectations to avoid disappointment and obviously not compare it to the original which is still quite enjoyable.
