zeedubbya
Last month I had the opportunity to attend an event celebrating the upcoming 90th birthday of Jose O. Padron--one of the most revered and recognizable people in premium cigars. They brought a special cigar for the event which was a very nice smoke. As you can see it used the old Padron black Fuma band which was pretty unique. Hopefully maybe I can send a couple to Rob for review. Their family business mentality and humility is truly amazing. There's a short video on YouTube under the Padron cigars channel if you'd like to see more. Hope you enjoy the few pics. I had a great time.

earthson
How about a text review? Are these any different than any of the other anniversary offerings?
Habanos2000
Looks like a great time! While I don't know the Padron's personally, I respect the product they put out and the brand image their cigars and business portrays. One of the few NC's I would even consider smoking anymore. zeedubbya
I'm no good at reviewing cigars but they are really tasty. To me it's similar to a 1926 anniversary but in a round not box press and it's a nice size. 6 by 46. I recall it was very much like the typical Padron profile of lots of Chocolate and aged tobacco. It is probably the second best Padton I've had. I like the Family Reserve 44 years best. They supposedly only made 200 boxes of 10? Never been a hoarder, I am guessing these will hang around for a year or so and maybe I'll put 2 up as a collectible with my autographed box. Being at the event and meeting the family--Jeff, Orlando, Rudy, Jorge, and Jose Padron was the nice part. Hearing Jose Padron talk about how much pleasure it gives him seeing everyone enjoying Padron cigars was something I won't forget. The cigar was a nice addition to the experience, but wasn't the main focus for me. Rumors about the 90th were floating around but the Padron's wouldn't confirm details, but I'm guessing it will be somewhat of a big release. They really make a very high quality cigar. In my opinion their quality and attention to detail is second to no other cigar in the world.
