Popular Post PigFish Posted February 15, 2016 Popular Post Posted February 15, 2016 Oh, Lord... After spending a fantastic day on my scooter, smoking a pleasant BBF at the local bikers spot, I have to ask you... Why do you continue to produce humans, that once behind the wheel of an expensive luxury sedan, believe that they can and should keep any bloke on a bike from getting in front of them??? Please find attached list of those who were schooled today! -Piggy 6

Currently without a bike due to the fact the wifey and I could not find time to ride since we are so busy with our 9 year old daughter. In a few years it will be time to look to buy another. Going for a Goldwing this time. I am sold on touring bikes for comfort and while the Harley was good, the Goldwing is just about the pinnacle for comfort and a nice sound system. Something where you and the wife can cruise all day long and not have the body aches and pains, LOL.

Something where you and the wife can cruise all day long and not have the body aches and pains, LOL. I am a reluctant Harley owner. The silver/black bike in the background is mine. 100th Vrod. After racing bikes as a kid and working for Yamaha, I have posses (a lot not mine to call owned) and owned more bikes than I could count. I figured I was done with them in the early 90's when pretending to be Roger DeCoster I met a hill that 'owned me' on one of my dual sports. That caused the reconstruction of my knee (already pretty bad) and year off for good behavior. Lady Piggy insisted I get another motorcycle in early 2K's, wanted a Harley and I said yes only if it was not a pushrod-pile-of-crap! I found the Vrod, early years, motor made by Porsche, 4 valve, water cooled with some nuts and it made me a Harley guy (I guess!). While this is no 'rice burner' in any way, shape or form, it has a nice power band, and you can bang it off the rev-limiter without fear of demise, it has brakes that work and is just fun to ride. I have never owned a touring bike. I am afraid that I live in so much pain from my joints that I cannot take too many hours on a motorcycle anymore. They are just a fun thing for me. If I were choosing to ride longer distance, I think I would chose one of the Paris-Dakkar style BMW's as I have always had a flair for dual sport type machines, whatever they are called these days. I don't keep up with the style of bikes, what is what and who makes what anymore. Good luck on your Wing... I have ridden a few and understand the 'rolling couch' theory! They are a pleasure to ride, even if dressers are not my bag of chips! Cheers mate! -Ray
