Yes...you will need to have been around smoking cigars for some time but there are plenty on this forum who have been cigar.gif

To put it in a some frame.

*The cigars that you bought/tried between 2000-2004 :

Serioulsy? These are crap/average

*The same cigars you bought/tried between 20012-2016:

What the hell happened here? They are excellent!

We are talking about fresh cigars, not aging cigars.

What have been the Comeback kings of Habanos?

I think this topic has been discussed in roundabout ways in many other threads so the picks should be pretty well known. For me, Punch Punch, RyJ Churchill & RyJ Ex 4 are the biggest comeback kids of the decade.

I'm not a cigar smoker of long standing, but as an observer over the last year, I've been most impressed with the turn-around of RyJ. Seems to get a lot of discussion, and the comparisons in the FOH video reviews is quite stark; we've gone from cigars tossed off the deck to scores in the 90s.

(The primary exception to the trend has been the Piramides Anejados, which comes with all the suspicion and caveats of that particular program.)

Punch-Punch for me! Last box I bought from our host (a 2014) is fantastic. The previous one was a 2003 and it was average... I had fallen with the cigar - and the size - in 2000-01...

I'd also be curious to know how those same old, crap cigars are smoking now with that age on them.

Or would this be hijacking the thread? devil2.gif

On second thought, I'm sure there's already an old thread out there on this subject, too.

Have to agree with these picks. RyJ's by far making the biggest comeback.
