ErikB Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Wanted to tell you about my skiing trip to Austria. We left on saturday for our overnight stop in Nurnberg, got there around 16.00 I hit the LCdH immediately and bought some Club Allones and a new cigar case. Then after some bratwurst it was back to the hotel. The Club Allones is an interesting cigar, it reminded me a bit too much of a Nicaraguan cigar The next day we arrived in Kitzbuhel, where everyone hit the slopes except for me The Mag 56 was good but too big. The great thing about Austria was that smoking seemed to be encouraged everywhere, even inside our favourite pub, the Londoner Of course we had too many shots Lightweights... But all in all a great trip with a lot of Coronas Juniors smoked 4
westg Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Awesome, looks like fun times. Have to say I had a little chuckle about the club allones , I thought the same about the bolivar super coronas but never mentioned it in fear of being stoned to death. 2
Orion21 Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 J/K I have only had one Cuban that tasted very much like a Non-Cuban to me (multiples from the same box) and those were the Sancho Panza Belicosos with dark wrappers. To the OP . . . That is a ski trip I would sign up for! It looks like a lot fo fun! 1
ErikB Posted January 30, 2016 Author Posted January 30, 2016 The Mag 56, while also a LE release, did taste like an Upmann but then it had a normal wrapper. I smoked a Club Allones again last night (dark wrapper) and again it tasted more like a La Antiguedad than a Ramon Allones. Very powerful but I liked it. I find it interesting that Cuban tabaqueros can produce a Nicaraguan tasting cigar if they want to. Did they want to though..
madandana Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Looks like a great trip. Thanks for posting. My kind of trip, I'd rather chill than over excert myself. 1
