Punch Double Corona Purchased December of 2012--Box Code Unknown.

Lit a nice fire to prepare a warm space for this long smoke. Purchased to see if it was box worthy and never felt the time was right to smoke. Often passed over due to its size and my lack of being wowed by the Punch Punch cigars that I have had. Now with the passed over review competition at hand, this 3+ year old DC will have its day.

Snipped with a V-cut. Tobacco, spice, and touch of sweetness on the tongue at cold.

I am instantly surprised by the first draw. Right out of the gate this DC has the flavor profile and boldness of a BoliPC + a little sweetness. Not what I expected at all, but very welcome.

1st 3rd--From initial draws the flavors progressed to a sweet silky woody/cedar flavor (as stated earlier I have a fire going which likely influenced this). It has a nice clean burn line & draw.

2nd 3rd--A hint of vanilla and then developed into a long sweet vanilla finish. After that it turned to an almost fruity sweetness with a hint of bitterness. Really enjoying this cigar.

Final 3rd--Clipped the V-cut with a guillotine cutter and the flavors brightened up and returned back to a sweet cedar.

Nice cigar and would certainly put on my top ten boxes to buy.

Nice review brother. I love DCs when I can find the time it takes to truly enjoy one and the Punch has been on my wish list for a while. After reading your review I may have to bump it to the top of list. It sounds delicious!
