joeypots Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Striped Bass from The Nauset Inlet at The Great Backside Beach on Cape Cod. I just found these and scanned them. Good size Bass were easy to catch on the Beach back in the mid to late 1990s to about 2005. The reemergence of the seal population has hurt the fishery and fishing on the beach has been slow at best. Even if one does hook up, a seal most likely will take it before it can be landed. 2

In 10 nights, one week in August, a long weekend in Sept, we managed lots of 20 lb fish, a handful of 30's a 40 in broad daylight and my PB of 46, all from shore. Hasn't been that good in a long while! I'll post some pics when on my other computer.
