Pardon the question as I'm sure it's been discussed before. After a search for "blank bands" I didn't see a discussion or topic posting.

After looking into purchasing some blank bands for singles, I've found many varieties but only 2 that seem to have more positive reviews than negative. Heartfelt seems to keep coming up, but many have had adhesive issues overtime. The other is Kenco, which feelings are divided as well.

I hoping for a little advice and direction from the forum as I've seen many people use them. Thanks in advance for any help.

Why on earth would you want to buy "blank bands"??? I wouldn't have thought they would fit in a colour printer

He runs a group buy, and gets a ton of bands. When this batch runs out, it will be 6 months to a year before he runs another group buy because it is a lot of work.

They are used for labeling the cigars with box codes or whatever you want. They come in handy when you are getting or sending bombs and fivers.

Another happy customer for Bob's blank bands. I've bought many, use them to identify gifted sticks and dates when I only buy a few singles. Best I've found, and I've looked. Easy to recommend, and Bob's a stand up guy to do business with.

Email sent. I will post here or start a new topic if a larger amount is available than what I need. I'm sure others could use them as well.

I would be willing to split some with you! A couple hundred would suit me just fine.

I prefer cutting strips from my old carbon copy checks and a small piece of scotch tape....easier, cheaper, cleaner

PM me your address, I'll stick a handful of Bob's bands in an envelope and send them to you. Bet you change your mind....ok.gif

I've never used them, but when it's come up in the past, I always figured if needed, I'd make my own by cutting slits in strips of paper which would obviate the need for any kind of adhesive. Either that or cut up some post it notes.

I used onlinelabel.com and not really a fan. Here at the shop we use Kenco, and I have been pretty pleased by them....I am planning on making a purchase of these for myself when I put in for my 1st order.

What are some of peoples gripes about Kenco? I'm curious.

I bought a bunch of heartfelt bands a while back

As many have mentioned, the adhesive didn't stay stuck after a couple of months so I've had to resort to taping them

Why not just use cigar glue or pectin instead post-its or cutting slits? Can print a batch of bands with the details, use a paper cutter, and then glue down with a dab of pectin/glue. I use the cigar glue (applicator on cap) for peeling wrappers, so figure this should probably be pretty easy.

Was planning to try it out in a few weeks. Just wondering if I need to purchase a specific type of paper?

As mentioned, the "slit solution" needs no adhesive. Post-its might be even easier. Cut a post-it strip, mark with pen, pencil, marker, crayon, wrap around cigar, and it sticks to itself. Were I needing to band box(es) of odd singles, pre-cut, printed bands might be the way to go. For the odd cigar here and there.......

Some other alternatives and great McGyver-isms!

I opted for Bobs bands. At $40 for 1,000 blank bands, I felt that was a solid deal. Should last me for like....ever
