Here is some rugby trivia – when looking at recent couches, the famous Dave Brockoff comes in with the worst record – a 46.67% win ratio.
no one else below 50% but
McKenzie right on it.

If you have a moment – and the interest (and don’t cheat with internet etc), put these in order of worst record to best – they are in chronological order at the moment.

There are a few surprises. Let me know and I’ll send out the list later today.

Bob Dwyer

Alan Jones

Greg Smith

Rod MacQueen

Eddie Jones

John Connolly

Robbie Deans

I know Rod MacQueen had the most successful tenure as Wallabies Coach at a mark close to the historic All Black succeess rate (around 75%). As for the others, they would be harder to separate, especially Bob Dwyer because he had 2 very different stints at the role. For the rest, I would guess Smith, Connolly, Dwyer, Jones and Deans.

personally, staggered smith rated so highly.

also says heaps about what a great (and underrated, south of the border) coach knuckles was. to try and fix the train wreck left by the toxic hobbit, when we simply did not have a scrum. i gather part of the strategy was to talk it up and hope other teams might swallow that line. sadly, england didn't.
