Habana Mike
Topic came up on another board where a brother was describing how he planned to have an RE party one day. From that I suggested we'd need proper accompaniments and began listing what I thought might be appropriate regional libations to accompany. Here's my list so far. Would love to hear your ideas as well! Rye
Really, all us Canucks are good for is that crap?? How about a Forty Creek confederation cask whiskey, or any other of the many decent ones, or an ice wine, of which we have many. Undoubtedly if the US ever had an ER, you would pair it with a good bourbon rather than a Budweiser

Would have been better to think of good Canadian Whiskey, there are many but I always viewed mainstream Canadian beers a cut above the American ones coming from a pre craft brew perspective..... The only thing I'd change is Italy: Grappa? I know alot of the Baltic countries in central Europe will love Grappa but for Italy I'd suggest a NEGRONI

Kbb
South Pacific: Original 1940's Mai Tai (Don or Vic, either one) Caribe: straight rum - El Dorado 15, Appleton VX (12), or Mt *** Extra Old . I enjoy a good Rum Runner, but many bars will serve a candy syrup swill that would be too sweet!

JohnS
Indeed, great list Mike! It's a shame that the Asia Pacifico region covers so many diverse countries, I empathise in regards to this choice (as there would have been many culturally-diverse nations to choose from).
