raymond5737
Dear FOH: Three different Bolivar cigars are all the same size; Bolivar Corona Gigante -7x47,Bolivar Supremas Churchill - 7x47 and the Bolivar Churchill - 7x47. Does this mean that the distinguishing factor is the blend of each cigar? And if that is the case, which blend do you like best?Raymond

Popular Post DoubleDD
I cannot comment on the other two (really one) as I've never smoked them but I can say the recent Bolivar Corona Gigantes is horrible, especially the ESO coded. Stay away from them please! That way there are more for me. Currently they are my favorite Julieta 2 besides the equally horrible Upmann Sir Winston.

The blend was completely different from that of the Corona Gigantes. It was my favorite julieta at the time it was available (until 2004 or 2005), although it was an expensive cigar…

I absolutely agree on the ESO 2014 BCG's, received a box from our host, and they are quite amazing for their age... The taste of these are completely different than the Churchills (which are very similar), which were milder and earthier. The BCG's are meatier, with leather and honey, and a long finish... I will definitely purchase more boxes of the BCG's, but would pass on the other two at this time...

They were similar because they were the SAME cigar. As for "passing" that's easy since they disappeared from the market long ago.
