sjmistry
What's happening all? Looking to replace two of my surfcasting spinning reels. I have one rod that is about 6 1/2 ft (about 2 m) and another that is 12 ft (a little over 3 1/2 m). Looking on advice for new reels. I am considering the Penn Battle 2 5000 for the smaller rod and a Shimano Spheros SW 8000 for the larger rod. Anybody have experience with these reels? Maybe there is something better for a sub $150 usd price point. Let me know. -Shake
joeypots
The basic old design Penn stuff is great on the beach. I always have been wary of bringing expensive tackle on to the sand. Any Spinfisher or International that fits your Rods should be fine.
