dangolf18 Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 I can often get Riedel glasses for 1/2 to 1/3 of retail on Craigslist. I would never pay retail. Best glass I've used is a Lalique one. Pricey at about a $150 a pop but you get what you pay for. Luckily the only one I have was free.
PointFivePast Posted September 23, 2015 Posted September 23, 2015 I do enjoy Riedel glasses, even if just for the exquisitely thin glass. That being said, they shatter all to easily on counters and in the dishwasher. If you can, try and find their restaurant series; they are 10x sturdier and still feel nice in the hand. As for flavor, I don't notice a HUGE difference, but there is some. The Oregon Pinot Noir glasses are gorgeous and work well for all sorts of lighter wines as they concentrate the nose of the wine similar to a snifter.
Kbb Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Glassware does make a difference for me, but equally so the decant. My vote is for genius.
