cris77 Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Hi all.. Recently I have been really enjoying a box of Partagás Mille fleurs... The cocoa flavours I have been getting have me hooked. So I am asking more knowledgeable members what other cigars would you recommend..
JohnS Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 You mean...other cigar marcas with predominant cocoa flavours (or containing hints of cocoa)?
cris77 Posted May 2, 2015 Author Posted May 2, 2015 Yes.. Should have been a bit clearer.. Predominantly that cocoa flavour.
JohnS Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 In the short time I've enjoyed cigars I've sampled the following marcas: Bolivar Cohiba Hoyo de Monterrey H. Upmann Juan Lopez Montecristo Partagas Punch Ramon Allones Romeo y Julieta Saint Luis Rey San Christobal de la Habana Of these, the one marca, for me, that stands out for having hints of cocoa is Montecristo. I've also noted it in Padron cigars (but less so than Montescristo cigars). Hopefully other, more experienced, cigar enthusiasts on our forum can weigh in on your question and add their valuable thoughts.
CaptainQuintero Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 For me Upmann Mag 46 smoke smells just like milk chocolate, less so in taste but there is certainly a chocolate biscuit nature to them. More so with age. Sancho Panza to me is dark chocolate, salt and dry leather Monte to me is more milky coffee than chocolate, at least in terms of regular production. The 2008 sublime are milk chocolate bombs however, the subsequent Monte ELs have tried to capture that again and to an extent they have, just not to the same high level. The Especials, probably the #2 is the most chocolaty to me if I had to pick. The Hoyo epicure #2 has a creamy biscuit nature to it for me, that sometimes can have a milk chocolate flavour.
PigFish Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Eat chocolate while smoking... Guaranteed chocolate flavor...! -LOL Sorry, could not resist that one! -the Pig 4
