thecapo Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 that is a low blow on draft day. but he was 3rd or 4th? not the actual number 1? 3rd or 4th pick, not round. You are correct. He was Thrid overall.
El Presidente Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 someone has to step in here surely? no raiders fans? the bucs got exactly what they deserved with jackson. they lied to him, attempted to harm his career by having him ruled ineligible for baseball, thinking he'd be forced to play for them. he told them not to draft him because of their underhanded actions because he would not play for them. they drafted him no 1, and he refused to play for them. he stuck to his word. they got what they deserved. a total waste of a number 1 pick. good on him. he went on to an impressive career with the raiders. not to mention his baseball. I know the story and the Bucs got exactly what they deserved
thecapo Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 that is a low blow on draft day. but he was 3rd or 4th? not the actual number 1? 3rd or 4th pick, not round. 3rd pick first QB in that draft.
thecapo Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 I know the story and the Bucs got exactly what they deserved I know the story and the Bucs got exactly what they deserved Tampa has very poor ownership. This results in below .500 w/l average.
Ken Gargett Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 okay, what is the reasoning for the bucs taking the pick right down to the wire? surely they can't have been still deciding? why do it?
El Presidente Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 okay, what is the reasoning for the bucs taking the pick right down to the wire? surely they can't have been still deciding? why do it? looks to be very slow all around.
Ken Gargett Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 looks to be very slow all around. very curious. i can't see any benefit. indeed, i would think that the quicker you get your pick in, the more pressure it puts on teams down the chain and hence the more possibility of an error. unless they really were still tossing up????
shlomo Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Its television. I have no doubt they are instructed to sit back and relax and let people tune in....its all about the benjamins baby! 1
MrGTO Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Didn't Peyton Manning flop his fruits on a female trainers face while she was down examining him? Isn't he one of the great examples of a "leader" these days. Hmmm...maybe the fact that he is the greatest regular season QB in history has something to do with us ignoring his college sexual assault charges.... Its the NFL draft, not canonization into sainthood. You must be a florida fan....
khomeinist Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Ha. Love the crab troll. So many moral crusaders. Hope he has an excellent career. 1
anacostiakat Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 I think the issue will be what kind of offense the Bucs put him in (what he is asked to do). FWIW, just like RG3 coming out of the same kind of offense, if he is to transition to a drop-back passer it may take him a bit and he has to stay healthy. As for RG3 this will be a defining year for him. He either learns how to read defenses and conquer his footwork or he is going to fail. The Redskins made a big commitment for him and any future qb by drafting Scherff who is a monster on the O-line and sorely needed. Looking forward to the rest of our pics!
shlomo Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 You must be a florida fan.... No. I refuse to watch or follow any ncaa sport.
