2004 Partagas D1 LE

Very first review. Please hold back on negative comments.

2004 Partagas D1 LE paired with a nice17 yr old single malt.

Pre light: Very leathery with hints of cedar notes and cream.

First Third: Tons of smokey leather, pepper and wiped cream. This third was remarkable. Flavor bomb.

I can get over the amount of creamy rich smoke it is putting off. 25 minutes in and one one ash. Ready to move to second third.

Second Third: Wam, Bam thank you Mamm! I have found a whole new not of lemon grass. Nice and creamy now with the peper/lemon/leather and coco. Simply incredible. 23 minutes into the second, now onto the third.

Final Third: The strong note of pepers and cream with the sweet lemon is rich! Plenty of white pepper, cream and coco. The lemon is very faint but replaced with sweetish express and once again leather.

Conclusion: with the way it started and finished, very complexed. Smoke wonderfully without a flaw! Only three ashes fell and the night of pure bliss was complete.

96-97 pointer. Well worth the 11yrs of rest!

Did I say ONLY 3 ashes!!! Simply amazing.
