PapaDisco Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 PSD 4 is a natural addition as you said. I keep Lusi's and P2's and E2's in the humi all the time, but like you said, they're a big smoke. I just cracked open a box of Partagas Coronas Senior tubos from El Pres. They are an "Eminentes" size which is just a tiny bit bigger in length and ring (44 vs. 42) than the Petite Corona Mille Fleur (which I also like) from Partagas. Might be just right for you need for a shorter smoke and the tubo helps for tossing one in the pocket on the go. A very good cheap and cheerful smoke, a tad more 'spicy' than typical Partagas on both the Mille Fleur and the Coronas Senior, not unlike the pepper sense you get from Epi 2's occasionally.
daeji5 Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 I don't know how you didn't like the shorts. I can't get enough of them. A few yrs on party shorts = mind *poof*
JohnS Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 How timely! The weekend 48:48 sale, just posted, has Partagas D5's, 898's and Shorts on offer!
ogus Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 If you hate shorts you may not like D4. You may prefer 898.
groundhog Posted March 24, 2015 Author Posted March 24, 2015 Decided to go cheap first - so went with Mille Fleurs (thanks @smallclub ) and the aristocrats. Someone mentioned the aristocrats were old school partagas flavour, which I thought might be worth a punt.
merc Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Let us know what you think, I'm a sucker for Partagas but haven't tried the aristocrats yet.
Laxman Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 I am a huge D4 fan. Try the E2 and the 898 as listed. Two great cigars you cannot go wrong with
