Positive Experience

I was in Vegas at a lounge at MGM and a group of gentlemen across the room were smoking Cohibas and our group was smoking Monte 2s. We all kind of nodded acknowledging one another and raised a glass. It was nice.

Negative Experience

I was was in Vegas again smoking a Cohiba Esplendido when people around me started saying my cigar was stinky. This is on the casino floors. Sigh

Great thread John.

Yes, this happens often whenever I venture to my wife's side of the family.

Normally they have BBQ's and drinks and it's quite a funny thing because a lot of them smoke cigarettes YET whenever I light up a cigar, they all give me this stare as I light up like it's some disease.

Hypocritically, once I'm enjoying the cigar most of them tend to make positive comments on the smell whilst they inhale their cancer sticks. ;)

Thanks Mika...I can empathasise with how you feel, likewise when your family are drinking beer at a party, one after another, and you prefer one nice single malt scotch or a fine cognac!

We should change the topic title to 'What can you notice in this photo other than Fidel lighting up?' looking.gif

hmmm, I spy a bag of suspicious looking white powder in the foreground....

Fidel, despite being a (fill in the blank) had taste. However, wearing two watches on the same wrist is a no no. You end up beating the hell out of them.

I know of people who wear 2 watches when they travel.

Looks like Khrushchev brought the llello, compliments of the Politburo.

Many moons ago, in a distant past when smoking cigars was still allowed after dinner.

As I was enjoying a RyJ Churchill in a well ventilated dining room when a 'gentleman' from the 13 colonies started in on me about how this was 'verboten' overseas and he demanded that I stopped smoking my cigar.

After finishing his rant, I told him he was not in the USA and there was nothing (except call a taxi to the airport) that I could do for him.
