westg Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Awesome the Glenlivit is really nice...thanks for picking that up for me Steve . see you on Sunday
Optic101 Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Nice pick up Steve, the Glenlivet is my favorite out of your list.
jat Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 What a shame you picked up the Caol Ila 12 YO I would hate for you to have a terrible whisky experience as you sample across that delightful range and then sip this. My advice would be to put it aside, forget about it, let it gather dust in a cupboard somewhere, out of sight. In fact I can do that for you...... 1
PapaDisco Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 If you like the Glenmorangie-in-a-used-cask thing, then definitely give the Quinta Ruban version a try. The wife and I love all of them, but the Quinta Ruban is the most flavorful IMHO. It's the version that's finished in old Port barrels. Love the sauterne version and the sherry version, but the port finish really works with this whiskey. I'd be interested in hearing more about the Japanese whiskeys. Something I'd love to delve deeper into.
Hunter1974 Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Nice collection I love Glen M and Glen L really would like to try the Japanese version.good pics
shlomo Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 What happened to the original wine, beer, spirit acquisition thread? 1
FHFinster Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 What did you think of the glen M nectar? I bought a bottle a few weeks ago that I wasn't all that crazy about. The sweetness seemed artificial (although I'm sure it's not). I happen to love the Glen M Sherry cask though.

I'd even offer to ship it across to the East Coast!
Rye Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 That Yoichi 15yr is a great drop! I've really enjoyed that one
MIKA27 Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 The Glenlivet is my favourite, always have it at hand
