Dear FOH:

I am in need of a cold weather smoke. It is cold back here in the Northeast (okay, so it ain't as bad as the midwest but you get my drift) and I need to find a cigar that I can smoke in 30 minutes or less. I need to be able to smoke this outside and enjoy the smooth taste of a Havana cigar before my blood stops circulating.

I love medium/strong cigars. Montecristo's, Bolivar's, Cohiba's and the like. All I want is to be able to taste that "island" flavor in my mouth. This cigar need not be handrolled; machine made is fine. This cigar does not need to be from one of the "bigger" names. And it doesn't need to be expensive. All I want to do is be able to relax (as best one can in bone chilling weather) and enjoy the wonderful taste of a habano.

So there it is, my christmas/new years request. I am reaching out to my "new found" family and asking for help. Anyone?

Thank you.

ERDM Demi Tasse would be perfect, although lighter bodied than you may like. Hand made almost 4 inches w/ a 30 ring. If you like medium/strong Id say a Boli Coronas Junior....

Partagas Chicos are a very nice inexpensive 10-15 minute 'jolt' of havana. Nothing even remotely subtle or complex: they're small, ugly, and straight-up strong cuban tobacco. I smoke lots of these in the winter :)

for a little more time (30 - ish minutes) there are a ton of good med/strong minutos and perlas:

RASCC

Monte #5

Boli CJ

Shorts

Siglo I

Trini Reyes

SCDlH El Principe

Dip 5

With respect, I have smoked a couple of ERDM Demi Tasse from the mid 90's that were far from "lighter bodied". Little firecrackers, they were.

Also consider Montecristo Joyitas.

When I want a short smoke it needs to be able to deliver satisfaction in a short time. I want it strong and full.

Cohiba Sig I

HDM Petit Robusto

JL Patricias

Some others have listed some fine smokes I'm sure and I need to try them. These are the ones I like.

I'm in New England as well and my favortite "Cold Weather" smoke is the Monte 5, I just love the little bugger:-P

Trinidad Reyes is my favourite small cigar, followed by the siglo 1, then the partagas shorts. No-one I know has had any complaints after a Reyes and those new to habanos just say, "wow"! :-D

I'll go with the Party Short also. On the bright side it might break 50 F on Christmas Eve and believe me I'm going to take advantage of it.

Great choice of cigars my friends. I am looking forward to trying some of these smokes during the cold winter months. In fact, I have a feeling I will be enjoying some of these little treasures WHENEVER time is a factor.

Again, thank you for the suggestions.

Im thinking about the Party Chico's myself, the ERDM DT sounds tasty to but their not in stock.
