It's lined with millions of little reflective dots. To keep the heat in. Like a space blanket!! The most awesomely science jacket I've ever seen. Just brilliant. My inner physics student was totally sold on it. It was an impulse buy. It's so tasty warm too!!

And yes when I was buying it I was absolutely thinking about the Seinfeld episode The Jacket.
