monte 520

Recommended Posts

Smoked half a box on release

Buried the rest until 2017

I enjoyed the fresh ones I've had so I'm hoping time smooths out some of the rough edges

Expect to pay between $20 and $25us a stick for them now, any more than that and you're being taken for a ride

They're past the point where they could be considered a good investment but defiantly worth buying for the pleasure of smoking them

Like it has been said. They were the talk of the town when they first came out. Smoked very well for a fresh cigar. Personally I enjoy most of the monte LE's. Love the Robustos, Sublimes, Grand Edmundo and the 520.

Have put mine down for a few years as the last two I smoked started to either be a bit mute compared to fresh. As they seem to have gone to sleep people have not been talking about them as of late. 22 a stick is around the best you will find.

I had one in Mexico on New Year's Eve 2012, and it was so good I purchased several boxes after I returned home. I had two from one of those boxes (LTB AGO 12) a couple of weeks ago, which had been sitting in a 65% coolidor for over 600 days, and they were quite flat. The richness I recall from the young stick in Cabo was gone. So, that partial box and the others I have will be resting a bit. I could just have a crap box, too.

I remember I got acouple boxes about $200-225 per originally. Smoked incredible 95/100 then through one box and saving the other to see how age helps along. I would have to say too a bit large on the RG- that's the only downside. One of the best LEs flavor I've experienced
