Sen Penn is another hypocrite actor I cant stand. I'm a huge gun fan and pro 2nd amendment and may not care for the guy anyway. But this guy has no backbone after melting down his own firearms at the urging of Charlese Theron and slammed everyone else for gun ownership. Now he turns around and does this.

He's an actor man....it's his job,he "acts", and is very good at it. It's what he gets paid to do. A good movie is a good movie, regardless of the personal life of the actor. If we judged every actor in a movie we wanted to see on their personal life, it is likely we would all never enjoy a movie again. I am one of the biggest gun guys around, I don't care what he does on his own time, he's not friend or family, so it's none of my business, I don't want to hang out with him, but he is a great actor and has played some great roles, this one looks like another good one. Just because Bradley Cooper played a sniper doesn't mean you should expect to see him at the gun range every weekend. Tom Cruise played a Fighter Pilot, but I don't want him flying me around in a plane. They play a role for our entertainment.

FYI - The Game is one of the most all time bad ass movies ever!!!!

Most actors get paid a flat rate for movies, so he get's paid regardless if I see/support it with my money or not. 95% of political agendas in Hollywood are expressed to the masses via Directors and Production Company Executives and Big Whigs. I could care less what some idiot actor, athlete or celebrity says to a reporter or a TMZ goon or in a tweet. I don't care what his stance is, he has freedom of speech just like I do, and I have the freedom to agree with him or not, doesn't mean he can't entertain me in a movie.

A few thoughts.....

one, trailer looks good, I like Penn and Javier...will have to see it

two, agree with skyfall, I don't much care what he does in his personal life, so long as he doesn't care what I do in mine - he is an actor, I expect him to be flaky at minimum, duplicitous in most cases

three, HE DID IT FOR CHARLIZE THERON - NUF SAID!

Don't get me wrong. I could care less about their personal lives as well. Where I have a problem is when these guys step forward on the public and political stage. When they open their mouths in interviews and in public they are attempting to sway public opinion. So in fact they are intruding into my rights and activities. Yes they have the right to voice their opinion and I have the right to criticize them for it. The right does not excuse them from repercussion. Charlize Theron I just don't get. Her mother shot her father in self defense and so she hates guns ever since. So what if there was not a firearm and her father neat her mother to death? Would she have been less traumatized?
